Scrambling

Challenging and fun

Accept the challenge of going onto steeper ground. There are “classics” which you might want to do---Crib Goch and Tryfan in North Wales. Jack’s Rake and Striding Edge in the Lakes. The Devil’s Ridge and Aonach Eagach in Scotland. And, many more routes---try something remote combining sailing and the Cuillin on the island of Rum. Scrambling along airy ridges gives a real sense of achievement.

We guide you so that scrambling is fun and at the same time your safety is paramount.

  • Flying to Inverness will take you to Torridon. A wonderful day out is to traverse  the Beinn Eighe ridge over the Black Carls Pinnacles or a major challenge is the Am Fasarinen Pinnacles on Liathach.
  • Be in Llandudno in the evening by train and challenge yourself going up Tryfan’s North Ridge and down Y Gribin.
  • Take the train to Penrith-3 hours from London-and scramble over the classic route Sharp Edge on Blencathra.
